Take a stroll along Umekomichi, which is usually closed to visitors
Umekoji Park has a plum grove on the southeast side of the lawn, which was established in 2000 to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Shimogyo Ward’s establishment.
During the Plum Blossom Festival, the ” Plum Blossom Path,” which is usually fenced off, is open for visitors to freely enjoy a stroll.
How to access
- Short walk from Umekoji-Kyoto Nishi Station on the JR and Sagano Lines
- Approx. 15 min. walk from Kyoto Station Central Exit.
